These terms govern the use of GARAN Tool (the “service”), operated by European Advertising Holding SRL, Str. Marasesti Nr. 18, Ap. 2 (“we”). By using the service or creating an account you accept them.
1. The service
GARAN Tool offers, free of charge, tools for the harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity and for the EU GARAN label for the commercial guarantee of durability (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960): a label generator, an embed script and API for online shops, a public label directory, a blog and member accounts.
GARAN Tool is an independent service and is not affiliated with the European Commission. Labels are generated from the official templates published by the Commission, changing only the fields the rules allow (duration, brand and model identifier).
2. Accounts
- you must provide accurate data and keep your password confidential;
- an account is personal; you are responsible for the activity carried out with it;
- you must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
3. Your responsibility for labels and notices
You remain solely responsible for the information you enter and for the way labels and notices are displayed in your shop or on your products. In particular, the EU GARAN label may be used only when the producer offers a commercial guarantee of durability free of charge, covering the entire good, for more than two years. The service does not replace the legal obligations of producers and sellers.
4. Public content
By publishing labels, articles, comments or a public profile you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to publish it, and you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and reproduce it within the service for as long as it is published. Community members may vote on the accuracy of public labels.
5. Moderation
We may verify, edit for formatting, delist or remove content and restrict accounts that breach these terms or the law, or that contain misleading information. Articles are published only after review. Where possible we inform you of the reason.
6. Prohibited use
- false or misleading guarantee information, or labels for guarantees that do not meet the legal conditions;
- spam, accounts or content created for links/SEO, advertising disguised as content;
- attacks on the service, automated mass access that affects its operation, malware;
- content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others or is offensive.
7. Embed script and API
The script and API are provided free of charge under fair use, without a guaranteed level of availability. We may change or limit them to protect the service. The automatic badge look-up is in a test phase; check the display on your shop.
8. Intellectual property
The official templates of the notice and the label belong to the European Union and are used under the Commission’s re-use conditions. The software, design and texts of GARAN Tool belong to us or our licensors.
9. Liability
The information on the website is general and is not legal advice. The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the use of the generated labels. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
10. Ending the use
You can stop using the service and ask for your account to be closed at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
11. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page. Romanian law applies; disputes are settled amicably or by the competent courts in Suceava, without prejudice to consumers’ mandatory rights.
