Cookies are small files stored by your browser. GARAN Tool uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work securely. We use no analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Cookies we set
- garan-tool-session — keeps your session (sign-in, forms). Expires when you close the browser or after 2 hours of inactivity.
- XSRF-TOKEN — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Same duration as the session.
- remember_web_… — only if you tick “Remember me” at sign-in; keeps you signed in for up to about 13 months or until you sign out.
- garan_cookie_notice — remembers that you have seen the cookie notice. 12 months.
Third-party cookies
- Google reCAPTCHA — on sign-in, registration and comment forms, when enabled. It is loaded only after you click “Load the security check”; Google may then set cookies (for example _GRECAPTCHA) to tell people from bots. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Sign in with Google — if you choose it, Google sets its own cookies on its domain during sign-in.
The embed script on shops
The GARAN script installed on partner shops sets no cookies. Only when a shop owner opens our visual selector from their account does it use the browser’s temporary session storage, which is cleared when the tab is closed.
Managing cookies
Because these cookies are necessary, they do not require consent. You can delete or block them from your browser settings; without them, signing in and sending forms will not work.
If we add other types of cookies in the future (for example for statistics), we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
