What is the EU GARAN label?

The harmonised EU label for the commercial guarantee of durability. Producers who voluntarily guarantee a product for more than 2 years — free of charge, covering the entire good — display it so consumers can recognise durable products at a glance. It is defined by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, under Directive (EU) 2024/825.

Which fields may I edit on the label?

Only three: the duration in years (whole or half years, more than 2), the brand/trademark and the model identifier. The nested online label allows only the duration. Colours, typography, spacing, the QR code and the translations are fixed — our generator keeps them byte-identical to the official template.

Is the generated label really compliant?

Yes. The label is built directly from the official European Commission SVG template; only the editable fields change. Downloads keep the official minimum print size of 95 × 100 mm and the Inter typeface required by the guidelines.

What you are generating

The official template, untouched

The EU GARAN label has fixed elements — the GARAN title with tick mark, the shield logo of the legal guarantee, the QR code to the Your Europe portal, the calendar symbol and “producer guarantee in years” in all 24 EU languages. Our generator never alters them.

Only the permitted fields

You edit exactly what Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 allows: the duration in years (e.g. 3, 5 or 2,5 — always more than two), the brand or trademark of the producer and the model identifier of the product.

Print and digital specifications

Printed labels must be at least 95 × 100 mm, in CMYK, with a scannable QR code of minimum 2 × 2 cm. Online, the colour RGB version is preferred and the nested label must open the full label on the first interaction. Our PDF export is sized exactly 95 × 100 mm.
